As the new year begins we prepare for the exceptional child.  No, I'm not talking about the baby Jesus or the New Year baby, but about children and youth who are exceptional in some ways.  This is a graduate level course intended for teachers in a classroom setting.  Mostly we'll be talking about child development and mental health issues over the course of the next few months.  This course will meet weekly on Mondays, but there will also be online assignments and discussions.

Be sure to check out the assignments section on MyCMU on a weekly basis.  Our first session will be in the classroom using virtual reality technology.  It is important to be present for that discussion since it will include the course syllabus, expectations and a brief introductory lecture.
