Course Description

A study of the application of quantitative analytic techniques to data in the Social Sciences.  

Course Objectives

Students will become familiar with the levels of empirical data in social science analysis.
 
Students will be able to calculate and employ a variety of measures of central tendency appropriate to data analysis in the social sciences.
 
Students will be able to calculate and employ a variety of measures of dispersion appropriate to empirical analysis in the social sciences.
 
Students will be able to calculate and employ a variety of measures of correlation to analyze relationships among a variety of levels of social science data.
 
Students will be able to calculate and employ a variety of measures of statistical significance appropriate to the analysis of correlational statistics in the social sciences.
