Course Description

This course provides an introduction to psychopharmacology and behavioral pharmacology for individuals pursuing education in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Students will gain an understanding of basic pharmacology, including behavioral methods for assessing drug action and effect. Students will also learn about rates of psychotropic medication use for population with whom they are likely to work, common psychotropic medications they may encounter in working with clients, and the role that Behavior Analysts may play in the management of psychotropic medications.
