The beginning (pre-service) physical education teacher will acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:
1. Student will master the body of knowledge associated with the discipline of motor learning and motor control
2. Student will identify the frontier of knowledge associated with a focused area within motor learning, motor control and development.
3. Student will contribute to class discussion on motor learning and skill acquisition topics.
4. Student will identify essential components of human motor behavior such as motivation, personality, arousal, achievement and varying needs of individuals in movement settings
5. Student will acquire the body of knowledge associated to diversities that relate to race, gender and disability related to motor learning
6. Student will recognize how learners interact with the environment when performing motor skills
7. Student will recognize the importance of meaningful feedback to the learner for improving skill acquisition
8. Student will master knowledge of movement skill progression from simple to the complex and mental practice
