Course Description

The Baccalaureate Project III (OTA412) is the culminating course for the baccalaureate project sequence, students will deliver a presentation of the project and submit a final report/portfolio. (1 credit hour)

 

Course Objectives

The goal of the baccalaureate project is to provide an in-depth experience in one or more of the following: clinical practice skills, administration, leadership, advocacy, and education. The individual or group project allows student(s)to demonstrate application of knowledge gained. The baccalaureate project is an integral part of the program’s curriculum design.

Students will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to synthesize in-depth knowledge in a practice area through completion of a baccalaureate project.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop, write, and present research.
  • Demonstrate ability to bridge theory with practice.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with fellow students. (leadership, communication)
  • Create a cohesive presentation that includes background research, process, and final project.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete a professional project in a timely manner.
  • Deliver a final presentation.
