COURSE DESCRIPTION

EN222 introduces students to the study of literature, developing essential skills in critical thinking, textual analysis, and composing in multiple modalities.  Through an investigation of literary genres and/or movements, students will also explore a variety of cultural and/or historical contexts, expanding students’ engagement with, understanding of, and respect for the diverse human experience.

Textbooks are required for the course. All textbooks will be available to be checked out from the circulation desk at Smiley Library for a maximum of four hours.
