Upon successful completion of the course, each participant should be able to:
- Describe how deficits affect the behavior of students
- Write classroom rules
- Create procedures for classroom behaviors
- Develop plan for how to teach classroom procedures
- Develop procedures for outside of the classroom
- Describe how to create a positive/calm climate in the classroom
- Develop a routine for teaching a subject
- Develop an ideal daily schedule based on student needs’ in a classroom
- Write an operational definition for behaviors of students in your class list
- Develop an intervention plan to modify antecedents for problem behaviors
- Discuss why collecting behavior and academic data is essential
- Complete a functional assessment and intervention plan
- Create a lesson plan for how to teach social skills on the universal and tertiary levels.
- Develop a reinforcement system for the classroom
- Discuss the Premack Principle and its use in the classroom
- Develop a token system for the classroom
