Chapters of this text will be provided, however the book is an excellent guide for educators dealing with technology. 

Course Description

This course will introduce student to contemporary educational issues in local, state, national and international contexts.  Students will review and discuss literature related to topics such as information literacy, ethics, gaming, interactive web applications, teacher leadership, past and current legislation, professional development, and standards-based education. 3 hours

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course:

  • Students will implement sound practices supporting educational digital citizenship.
  • Students will analyze case studies and understand current trends dealing with technology ethics.
  • Students will master how educational technology can be utilized for the social good. 
  • Students will master how educational technology can be used to the detriment of an ethical society
