Course Description

This course is designed to enhance and extend the technology skills of practicing individuals, apply those skills in innovative ways, and create an environment that supports collaborate, project-based learning.  Participants will study basic and advanced features of software (operating system, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, internet, concept mapping) and hardware (interactive white boards, projectors, wireless technology, cameras) and integrating technology.  3 hours

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant should be able to:

  1. Choose and implement appropriate theoretical frameworks for teaching with technology
  2. Construct a technology rich, outcome driven lesson plan for a variety of disciplines or units
  3. Create effective assessment measures for technology rich lessons
  4. Be an advocate for digital learning culture on within their educational environment
  5. Seek out technology solutions for educational practice
  6. Teach to and facilitate compliance with the ISTE standards
