Course Description

A project-based course in which the students will increase their competency in the integration of software use by all students within their present curriculum and improve their ability to integrate software into future units of study. Meets MEd Standard 3.  3 credit hours

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will:

  • Have researched over 50 software applications for K-12 and Higher Education.
  • Have fresh ideas on how to incorporate many of these applications in practical ways for use in their classrooms.
  • Have a working knowledge of the collaborative potential of software applications in educational settings. 
  • Have the skills to research and stay current with software applications for students. 
  • Have a completed final project that is directly applicable to their own classroom use.
  • Be able to replicate the final project unit with lesson plans to create future learning modules incorporating appropriate software apps for their classrooms.
