Course Description

Organization, procedures, and management of the classroom including approaches to disciplinary problems.  3 credit hours.  Meets MEd Standard 5.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, each student will:

  • Evaluate present level of classroom management skills
  • Analyze the impact of expectations on students and teachers
  • Be able to create positive tone in the classroom through management techniques
  • Determine methods to establish discipline in the classroom
  • Determine the importance of structuring their classroom
  • Optimize assessment and feedback to enhance the management of students
  • Create plans for specific disciplinary issues
