Course Description

Classroom observation, interpretation, and research are the focus of this course. Students will be expected to practice and implement various techniques discussed in class as well as prepare documentation for explorations undertaken. 3 credit hours.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to:

  • Provide information about measurement theory, assessment related issues, and uses of assessments.
  • Provide guided practice in using information about measurement theory, assessment related issues and uses of assessments.
  • Provide information about the ways societal, cultural, cognitive, psychological and physical factors affect assessment.
  • Engage in, develop, and understand the importance of critical thinking in evaluating and using assessments.
