There are four virtual meetings using the current myCMU meeting program (i.e. Big Blue Button). You will need to have a webcam (either built in to the computer or just bought and clipped on top), as well as a microphone and speakers (or a combination head set). These do not have to be expensive pieces of equipment.

This course is taken concurrently with ED462 (Supervised Student Teaching).  In this course students will reflect on and share their observations and teaching experiences.  They will also discuss current educational topics, curriculum development, legal issues, lesson planning, and classroom management.  Students will also complete three performance-related tasks to accompany their student teaching.  Prerequisites:  ED101/102, ED370 for middle school and secondary majors, PY210, PY223, PY342/343, successful passing of MoGEA exam, passing score on state qualifying exam for certification in student's area of study.  In addition, students must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA, 3.0 content area GPA, and 3.0 professional education GPA or permission on the Chair of Teacher Education.

Students should be able to:

1. Communicate experiences related to their student teaching experience.
2. Practice long range planning skills by developing a unit plan.
3. Identify different strategies to teach the same objective.
