Course Description

The clinical experience (24 clock hours) includes observations of children in an accredited early childhood program, participation in planning and conducting activities under the supervision of teachers, and the construction of various teaching aids appropriate for young children.  Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in ED330.

1. Define developmentally appropriate practice and discuss its relevance to curriculum.

2. Discuss and practice early childhood professional ethics.

3. Examine quality early childhood programs in nursery school, child care centers, kindergarten and primary classrooms.
