Students will develop an understanding of the methods of teaching mathematical concepts as recommended by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Common Core State Standards (MLS).  Using the essential topics of elementary and middle grade mathematics, there will be a focus on using a variety of methods and materials that support and enrich the skills, abilities, attitudes for learning mathematics.
