I have been an Adjunct Instructor of Business since 2016. Before being formally hired as a Professor, I spent about three years shadowing and assistant teaching for my mentor, Professor Lindy Lachance. I learned a great deal about creating courses that focus on the practical application of knowledge for students. I understand that many students are already working, and the value of your education lies within its ability to be transferred into your day-to-day activities.

Professional Career:

JC Business & Financial Services Inc. We are a small financial firm that specializes in Business Services and Tax Preparation. I have been with the company since 2004. Starting as a part-time employee while a student at Jefferson College, I have worked my way from a seasonal employee to becoming V.P. and partner in January of 2017.

Licensed Enrolled Agent with the Department of Treasury. I attained my license in 2012 and begun practicing before the IRS as a taxpayer representative for audit and financial services. The Enrolled Agent exam was the second most challenging academic pursuit of my career and one that I am very proud to have achieved.

Education:

Currently a student at Walden University in the Ph.D. of Management program with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Technology Innovation. I began at Walden in 2017 and have enjoyed the online experience as well as the wealth of resources and information gained from their program. I am scheduled to complete my program in 2022.

Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University in 2012. Lindenwood was a wonderful school, and it was where I was first introduced to the Socratic Method. The Socratic method, derived from the Greek Scholar Socrates, is an educational approach that focuses upon the higher forms of learning (applying, analyzing, & evaluating) to promote critical thinking.

My Greatest Achievements:

I saved the best for last! I am a proud husband and father of two. I married my wife in 2005, and we have two wonderful children, one boy (13) & one girl (11). I consider my marriage and my family to be my greatest achievement because it is the most important part of my life. At the end of my life, no one will care about my career or education, but the lasting love of my family and the lessons imparted upon them will span generations. My family is my #1… My children are my top priority and my legacy.
