Objectives:  To provide an introduction to the foundations and the science of ecology.

Outcomes:  As a student in this course, you will:

• Perform ecological studies in the field and analyze and communicate the results.
• Study the interactions and interrelations between organisms and the environment.
• Learn about various levels of ecological organization.
• Study natural history, evolution, adaptation to the environment, population ecology, species interactions, communities, ecosystems, landscape and global ecology.
