Course Objective:  This course prepares students to understand, evaluate and conduct scientific research.

Student Outcomes:  As a student in this course, you will learn to:

1. Understand and use scientific methods.
2. Develop a research question.
3. Design a study to test a research question.
4. Work collaboratively with classmates and faculty in developing research projects (yours and your classmates.)
5. Review and summarize published scientific studies related to your research question.
6. Write a proposal describing the research question, methods, expected outcomes and budget required.
