Course Description

A study of cognitive processes such as perception, thinking, learning and problem-solving. Special attention will be given to various applications of cognitive theory and research. PREREQUISITE: PY101

Course Objectives

1.      Understand the stages of information processing and how knowledge is represented and organized.

2.      Apply cognitive psychology concepts to complex, everyday tasks such as learning, decision-making and problem-solving.

3.      Complete a brief literature review on an important topic in cognitive psychology.
