All lessons and instructions are posted in the Resources and Materials Section of this class website.

This course is designed for a 16 week semester. This summer session is 8 weeks long.

So, each week of the summer session includes 2 weeks of work.

Assignments for weeks 1 and 2 must be completed at the end of week 1. Assignments for weeks 3 and 4 must be completed by the end of week 2, and so on.

I know that you have busy schedules. However, this class schedule cannot be changed to accommodate student schedules. Please, do not request exceptions.

This course is about writing mathematics at a publishable level of quality.

The Equation Editor commands in Microsoft Office Word are used to facilitate the symbolic language of mathematics.

Software packages, such as Educreations, Geogebra and Desmos, which are free, will also be introduced to facilitate the necessary graphical representations required in writing mathematics.

The objectives of this class include, but are not limited to

• writing mathematical documents of publishable quality. 
• writing mathematical documents with precision and accuracy. 
• reading mathematics with a critical eye for accuracy and reliability.
