Grading Scale – Tests, quizzes, and other assignments will be given a specific number of points.  The number of points earned divided by total number of points possible will translate to the following whole grades:

A          =          90 – 100

B          =          80 – 89

C          =          70 – 79

D          =          60 – 69

F          =          Below 60%

Assignments – Out of class assignments are for your practice and to strengthen your skills through practice.  Missed assignments will require an appointment with Professor Brown to schedule a makeup date.

Written assignments and/or projects must be presented as directed by the instructor.  All assignments must be turned in on time to receive full credit.  Missed deadlines will require a conference with Professor Brown.

Attendance – Students who miss class due to another University sponsored activity will not be penalized but communication with me (Prof. Brown) needs to take place prior to the absence.

Attendance is taken daily.  Attendance and participation will be considered if a student’s grade falls on the line between two grades.

A tardy or leaving early may be counted as an absence.  Consistent absenteeism will be considered when figuring final grades.   Missing more than 2 weeks of class (6 unexcused absences) may result in the retaking of this class.
