Welcome to College Algebra - that course you may have been dreading or putting off until the last possible moment! When I tell friends I teach this course I get the inevitable sigh or eye roll and the predictable response "Another class I never used". This course is my attempt to combat that perception since the truth is that we live in quantitative times and math is not far behind this reality. I hope by then end of this course you not only agree but have picked up some useful tools and some needed self-confidence in your own abilities. That's MY idea of a successful math class!
