Course Description

A survey of the social, economic, intellectual, and political history of Missouri from prehistory to the twentieth century. Fulfills the state civics requirement. Prerequisite: Junior Standing

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant should be able to:

  •       Understand both national and state constitutions.
  •       Locate important locations in the state.
  •       Study prehistoric and historic cultural activity in the state.
  •       Discuss the chronology of cultures and political development in the state.
  •       Critically study past and future problems and opportunities in the state.
