Course Description

An examination of major traditions; physical geography, historical-cultural geography, and location geography.  This course provides an introduction to understanding and evaluating human-environmental relationships and regions set within a globalized world.

Course Objectives

To give the student an understanding of basic geofacts that explain how the earth changes.

To give the student an understanding of map development and working knowledge of map reading.

To acquaint the student with the concept of realms and the development of resources within each realm.

To engage, interpret, and analyze contemporary social, political, and environmental  issues confronting the world.
