Course Description

EN305 focuses on the development of expository texts in various genres. This advanced course in composition is designed to relate to the specific needs and interests of upper-level students.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant should be able to:

  • differentiate between various genres and rhetorical situations
  • apply rhetorical choices and conventions effectively
  • develop appropriate research methods to answer focused research questions
  • evaluate and critique various texts
