Description:
EN 305 focuses on the development of expository texts in various genres. 
This advanced course in composition is designed to relate to the specific needs and interests of upper-level students.

 

Objectives:

In the course of EN305, students will...

  • differentiate between various genres and rhetorical situations
  • apply rhetorical choices and conventions effectively
  • develop appropriate research methods to answer focused research questions
  • evaluate and critique various texts
  • negotiate and integrate peer and instructor feedback

Textbooks are required for the course. All textbooks will be available to be checked out from the circulation desk at Smiley Library for a maximum of four hours.
