EN 305 focuses on the development of expository texts in various genres.  This advanced course in composition is designed to relate to the specific needs and interests of upper-level students.

In this course, students will...

• differentiate between various genres and rhetorical situations 
• apply rhetorical choices and conventions effectively
• develop appropriate research methods to answer-focused research questions
• evaluate and critique various texts
• negotiate and integrate peer and instructor feedback

Students are not required to purchase a textbook. Course readings will be made available on MyCMU.
