The objectives of this course are designed for prospective and practicing teachers to be able to:
- Determine the characteristics of students with mathematical disabilities.
- Use a variety of instructional practices and materials in the remediation of math difficulties.
- Connect active learning strategies to meaningful concepts for the diverse learner.
- Become more effective as a teacher to teach mathematics to all children
- Be a reflective learner and adjust one’s instructional practices.
