Course Description from Course Catalog

A project-based course in which the students will increase their competencies in the use of technologies that support classroom instruction and enhance professional practice. Meets MEd Standard 3.  3 credit hours.

Course Objectives

Course Objectives:

  1. Students will gain proficiency in the educational uses of (a) word processors, spreadsheets, and databases; (b) multimedia software and web page creation; and (c)email, web browsers, web conferencing and apps for the classroom.
  2. Students will increase their use of software to locate and share information with peers.
  3. Students will gain, improve, and or extend skills and competencies to meet the International Society of Technology Education (ISTE) Standards for Teachers.
