This course focuses on children ages birth through 16 and the health issues that affect them. The areas of focus for this course are functions and interrelationships of systems, health maintenance and enhancement, risk assessment and reduction, efficiency of human movement and performance, and physical activity and lifetime wellness. This content is consistent with the Missouri Subject-Specific Competencies for Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Prerequisite: ED101 or permission of chair of the department
