Tips for Success:

1. Read the text and additional readings.  The syllabus has a schedule of chapters that I intend to cover each week.  In addition to the text, I will post additional readings related to the text material on this site under Resources and Materials.  Reading ahead will prepare you for the discussion in class.

2. Work through the review questions at the end of each chapter and additional reading.    Go through these shortly after you've read the text and readings and this practice should help you assimilate the material.  I will periodically post solutions to the review questions to aid you in your study.

3.  Participate in class.  Questions and comments are encouraged! I also occasionally hope to have some fun learning activities besides lecture to help illustrate various concepts as we proceed through the semester. The success (and fun) of these activities will depend on your participation.
