This course focuses on statistical data and terminology as they apply to nursing research. Students will learn the importance of statistics in performing data analysis and will be introduced to basic statistical procedures.

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant should be able to:

• Define statistical terms found in allied health.
• Compute basic statistical equations.
• Analyze the statistical data provided in a research study.
• Critique the statistical component of a research study.
• Relate statistical concepts to allied health practice.
