This orientation is designed to introduce new online faculty to the policies/procedures for Central Methodist University's online programs.  New faculty will also learn best practices for online learning and how to create a course in the E-Learning system.

At the end of this orientation, new faculty will be able to:

1. Apply the online program's policies and procedures when teaching an online course.
2. Discuss "best practices" when developing an online course.
3. Design an online course using Discussion Forums, Assignments, and Resources and Materials.
4. Evaluate the effectiveness of multiple online activities.
5. Discuss the benefits and challenges of online learning.
