Objectives: Be introduced to the principles of the science of conservation biology and natural resource management
Outcomes: As a student in this course, you will learn to:
- Discover the diversity of living organisms at multiple levels (i.e. genetic, species, community, ecosystem and global diversity)
- Evaluate, analyze, and summarize evidence on the effects of human activities on biological diversity.
- Seek practical, interdisciplinary solutions based on accumulated knowledge and current research to problems of conservation biology
- Create and communicate a plan for addressing an issue of conservation biology and natural resource management in a professional manner
