A studio course where the student will increase technical skills,develop a more sophisticated approach to the art process

and subject matter, and create a portfolio of work. Techniques and conceptual skills will be honed, enabling the student

to become a critical thinker, problem solver, and life-long learner.

1. The student will use the elements and principles of design to create origial works of art that demonstrate development of

personal style in a variety of media and visual art forms.

2. The student will create a body of work that includes observational drawing, painting, mixed media, and a variety of

self-chosen media.

3. The student will keep an artist's journal to record the artistic process; experienting with various media, and analyzing

 his/her work.
