Text: Stair, Ralph and George Reynolds. Fundamentals of Information Systems. 9th ed. Cengage, 2018.

Students can purchase Option 1 or Option 2:

Option 1: e-textbook and MindTap access: ISBN 13: 978-1-337-09907-3
Option 2: Paperback version of book and MindTap access: ISBN 13: 978-1-337-59848-4

Online access to MindTap is required for this class.

MindTap is an online website that provides an e-textbook as well as online homework assignments. NOTE: MindTap is NOT “optional:” the MindTap exercises make up 20% of the total course grade. It would be next to impossible to pass the course without MindTap access. Most students find the e-textbook adequate for the course.

You will receive instructor information to "join" the class on MindTap on the day that classes open. There is a 14 day free trial period for MindTap, so even if you have not received a purchased access code, you should have access to the class on day one. If you do not want to purchase from the CMU MBS Online Bookstore, wait until the link is available to make sure you are purchasing the correct product.
