Hello Mr. Janisse and class,

My name is Matt Robinson. Right now, I am working on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting and I intend to further my schooling and hope to get a master’s in business administration. I do not have any goal on what field I hope to work in; however, I do hope to work for the government and get a GS position. In a way, I suppose I will act like water and take the path of least resistance. First, get my foot in the door in any available job and move from there. I do feel I have a good start in securing a job within the Government with having a background in the military like I do. With having served 6 years in the Marine Corps reserves and now serving in the Missouri National Guard on my resume, I should be getting some attention with the hiring departments. Other than that, I have little office experience. I have always had labor jobs such as carpentry, land scaping, laborer at different sawmills and roofing. It is not easy to do that line of work and I’m ready to leave the labor jobs behind me. It is also very difficult to be a full-time worker and a full-time student. Though I do have to consider myself luck right now. I am currently on active orders until next October dealing with administrative issues with new recruits. So, it is nice right now that I will not be breaking my back all day just to come home and slay away on the computer. As far as personal interest goes. I’m a huge Magic: The Gathering fan, I play bass in a death metal band; though that is kind of at a standstill, and I enjoy camping and hiking. For the mo9st part I’m a hard-working person that hopes to be a better person than I was yesterday.

Hello Matt! I think that an accounting degree would be very useful along with a masters in business administration. Those two degrees have unlimited possibilities. The first step to getting a job you want is getting your foot in the door.Thank you for your service! Labor intensive jobs really does a number on the body physically. I understand how difficult it is to work full-time and be a student full-time I am currently in that position. Camping is very enjoyable I love being able to find peace with nature especially with the way the world has been lately. I like how you put "I'm a hard-working person that hopes to be a better person than I was yesterday!"
