Question Discussion 2 Original post: Wed 1/23/2019 at 4:02 PM

In chapter 6, the book talks about the composite fraud indicator or risk score. My question is how closely do companies or people look at this score? Is it something that they really take into account when looking into the risk factor of a company? Also, is this the final say of the risk measurement of a company, or are there more factors that are taken into consideration?

Trevor,

Honestly after some searching online, I did not find much about composite fraud indicators or risk scores, but I did find something similar, the D&B rating guide. The D&B rating guide helps it's users identify businesses that are likely to fail, and while it doesn't give a specific risk score it does give a risk indicator. I think when looking at the risk factor of the company the risk score would be a good starting point, but if I was think about making a major financial decision I would want to do some investigating of my own. I hope this helps. Good question.
