Greetings Term 5 - Fraud Accounting Students:
Welcome to Term 5 - Summer 2018 – Online semester at Central Methodist University. Your course syllabus can be found under "Resources and Materials" on the MyCMU page for your review for this term. This document contains your course syllabus and course assignment list with due dates for this term.
Your course will be fully opened on the MyCMU website on Sunday, June 3, 2018.
This is a WEB course and to be successful in this course you will need to be organized and stay familiar with the course requirements and due dates of your assignments and quizzes.
Communication for this course will be conducted through your CMU email and MyCMU portal. A high speed Internet connection is recommended. If you have dial-up service, you might want to complete your class activities on campus, or at another location that has a high speed Internet connection. Loss of your Internet connection, hardware related problems, and weather related events will NOT be acceptable excuses for late or missed work.
All of the course assignments will conducted and completed through the MyCMU portal. You can go to www.centralmethodist.edu, login and select your course – AC313 – Fraud Accounting. Your chapter assignments, activities and projects are listed under the "Assignments" link.
Each assignment will have a due date posted. The links for your assignments will stay active until the due date. After that time, the link will disappear and you will not be able to submit your assignment. No late work is accepted in this course. Please become familiar with the due dates for each assignment. All assignments for the term are active on the course website.
Your first assignment is due on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Your first assignment is a biographical sketch of yourself. Upload the biographical sketch under ""Assignments," and also post a brief overview of your background as a "Welcome Post" under the Discussion Forums. This assignment is due by 11:55 pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
Please note: Any student not completing these assignment will be dropped from the course on Thursday morning, June 7, 2018.
As you work through your assignments, please be watchful of your due dates. No work is accepted late. All work is due by 11:55 pm on the due date for that assignment.
This course is very assignment, discussion forum, case student and exam intensive. You will want to stay up on your assignments. You will have several questions that will be due each week. Weekly discussion post are required. You will have to make your initial post each week by 11:55 pm on Thursday evenings. Your responses are to be completed by 11:55 pm on Saturday of the week. (The exception to this week 8. The discussion responses will be due by 11:55 pm on Friday of week 8.)
On the right side of the course main page, there is a portal (Resources and Materials) that contains your syllabus and other relevant documents for your success this term. Please become familiar with these and especially the due dates for each of your assignments.
To begin this course, you will need your textbook, the 2nd Edition of Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination by Hopwood. If you having problems getting your textbook please notify me ASAP. No due dates will be adjusted without prior knowledge of such problems.
